Get Inspired, Believe In Yourself

As I walked around a city last week, a man with a microphone and a ‘Jesus Is The Answer’ sign started preaching to the crowd. Everyone ignored him of course, but there was something about him that caught my eye – his smile. He was absolutely beaming, and full of enthusiasm for the words he was saying.

Now say what you like about him and his beliefs, this man was full of energy and excitement. In fact, he was so excited by what he had to say that it moved him enough to get up on a soapbox and shout it to the world.

How many of us can claim to be even a tenth as excited about the things in our lives or the things that we do? And if we aren’t excited, why not? Is is time to change?

I can honestly say, hand on heart, that I am excited by what I do. I’m not moved enough to stand on a soapbox and scream it to a crowd (although you could say that blogging is a bit like that), but excited nonetheless.

So if you aren’t excited by anything in life are you missing inspiration? Or the conviction that what you are doing is actually pretty darn good?

Today try to find inspiration.

Find something that moves and excites you.

Get inspired, believe in yourself, watch this video:

Then go out and do something awesome.

Cheerio.

My first thought? He’s in his manic phase. Sorry that’s exactly how a manic depressive behaves when they’re up. I really really love what I do so much so that I bore my friends & family to death talking about it. As you say, I’m not getting up on a soap box with a loud speaker although I am excited by what I do.
You’re Jesus guy sounds high on what he’s doing, I think there’s a big difference. Nobody can sustain that. It’s too much & usually ends with a crash. By the way, Jesus & God often feature heavily in the manic phase.
    Too much?

You could be right Michelle, religion in itself can be the trigger for some people’s mania. I think the point I was trying to make is to grab as much joy from the things we do in life as possible. And to get inspired by the little things.

Mr Jesus guy was still there the other day, still smiling and still on his soap box. I hope that he is moved by his passion for his religion, but you do have a point.
