Work. That could probably sum up this week in one word. We have grabbed time off when we can, but our whole week seems to have consisted of accountants, solicitors, grabbing WIFI and travel.
It’s certainly true that we relax more when we stay on the boat, but working for ourselves can sometimes mean putting in the hours – oh so many hours. Not that I’d change a thing, working a 9-5 broke me once. I’m never giving it a chance to do so again!
I feel that we are extraordinary lucky in as much as we work for ourselves, work together on a lot of projects and STILL don’t want to kill each other! That doesn’t mean to say that it doesn’t get stressful from time-to-time, but we always seem to come through it intact and with smiles on our faces. I think the fact that we both have a seriously weird sense of humour bonds us together.

In other news, the road to a healthier me seems to have hit a bit of a brick wall. We seem to be rewarding ourselves for long working hours by eating out or having to grab food on the go – not a good idea when you’re trying to lose a few pounds. I’m still not on a downer about it and my attitude to food and weight loss in general is still upbeat and optimistic.
I am patting myself on the back for having a fresh smoothie for breakfast this morning before we left the boat for our five hour journey to Sunderland and choosing a tuna jacket hold the mayo for lunch. I’ll get back on track again, just you watch me – literally if you subscribe to my YouTube channel 😉
