DIY, Decorating And Unexpected Kitchen Deliveries | Weekly Vlog Number 4

This week has definitely been a week of two halves. It started pretty well with a trip to our local DIY store to stock up on paint, blinds, curtains and general DIY stuff. Then on Thrusday we had a very unexpected delivery. Our kitchen arrived – a MONTH early!

To say I was slightly traumatised is an understatement. Though not as traumatised as the poor delivery driver to whom I opened the door wearing a head full of rollers. I’m not sure he’ll ever recover.

We have managed to cobble together some of the new kitchen and I can see that it’s going to look pretty awesome. I honestly think that some of the things we are doing to this house is making it grow, a bit like Alice in Wonderland without the bad taste in dresses 😉

We have been dragging our heels as far as getting stuck into the DIY this house needs is concerned. So maybe the unexpected delivery was not a bad thing – it certainly got us motivated.

By the way, the pic above is of the kitchen in our old house – even we aren’t THAT fast!

We are considering another trip back to the boat to reward ourselves for all our hard work. We have a couple of meetings in Kent so it makes sense to combine them with a bit of a boaty couple of weeks. Well, that’s our excuse and we’re sticking to it.

I know, he loves being ‘in’ my vlogs! We’ve actually got half of the kitchen done now. It’s probably been a good thing really as it’s motivated us to start decorating 🙂
