My Orange, Veuve Clicquot Valentine’s Evening

Well Valentine’s Day may be drifting into the past and Cupid may be hanging up his bow for another year, but I did say at the end of my Cost Effective Valentine’s Day post that I’d pop a few pics up for you after the event. And here they are:

Veuve inspired table decorations
A table for Valentine's day
A romantic veuve inspired table
Champagne bucket as centrepiece

It was close call as to whether Valentine’s day would actually take place in the Barefaced Chic house as, and this is typical of me, I was struck with the mother of all tummy bugs on the Wednesday before. Very nasty – at one point Andrew was waiting for my head to spin around.

But I did rally and just about managed to pull the evening together, It was wonderful to spend a couple of hours romancing  Andrew for a change. In fact, we enjoyed it so much that we’ve left the dining room decorated in all it’s orange Veuve Clicquot glory – well we did have leftovers and there’s always next weekend 🙂

Black and white Valentine's day

In case your wondering, the above pic is in black ad white because I looked sooooooo scarily pale after my bug, thank goodness for candlelight!

Hope you all had a great weekend, I’d love to know what you got up to so hit the comment box.

Ah, so that’s the trick! Black and white. Noted! Hehehe! I adore champagne, but have only had the opportunity once to drink Veuve Clicquot. Probably a good thing since I can never remember how to pronounce it.

You look fabulous, virus notwithstanding. And what a great idea, using orange rather than red for Valentine’s Day. Me, I’d probably go with Lanson pink.

    Late Happy Valentine’s Day
