All I Want For Christmas Is A Hotel – Or Two

I am, as you may very well know, an advocate of grabbing midlife by the throat and shaking every last ounce of joy out of it. Life is to be lived, there are new beginnings just around the corner and life-changing adventures are there for the taking.

So when Andrew and I took a look at our lives and decided that working for venture capitalists and having a portfolio of rental properties simply wasn’t working for us anymore, we decided to make a few life changes.

It took us a while to work out exactly which path to take. We had many chats that began at midday and went on long into the midnight hours, the outcome of which found us ditching our day jobs, selling our rental houses and embarking on the search for a couple of hotels. Yes, if we were Monopoly players we would definitely be winning!

You Can Catch Up With Our Adventures Below

We have now completed on two hotels and are due to complete on our third in the first week of January. The sun is rising on a whole new chapter of our lives. I’m excited, I’m terrified, I’m working my butt off and I’ve been up before dawn (as you can see from the pics Andrew took) more times than I care to mention. And you know what? I’m loving every knackering, nerve-wracking joyous minute!

The Sunrise From One of Our Hotels Taken By Andrew

The New Year is unchartered territory – just the way I like it! May I wish you all the best for a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful New Year. I’ll catch you in January as I’m now off for a well-earned rest!!!

Hahahaha sorry mate I shouldn’t laugh but when you two said “It wasn’t our fault, we weren’t even there…for once!” Well what can I say I adore you both 😉
I believe, you’re so very on the money about this doing what makes you happy lark my friend. As Mark & I are also in the process of quite a big life change, I couldn’t agree more with the philosophy. I too am grabbing the bull by the bolloacks this year. YAY US!
Looking forward to watching your progress Michelle, please don’t stop sharing xx

Ha! I know what you mean, we seem to attract unwanted drama wherever we go!

I’m looking forward to seeing how your life evolves Michelle. It will be strange you being so far away and, even though we don’t see each other as often as I would like, I’ll miss being able to jump on the train to London for a catch-up.

I feel a trip to the US coming on xxxxx
