An Ode To My Audrey Sunglasses

You sat upon a shelf of white, I was unsure you would be ‘right’
To sit upon my tiny nose, and make me want to strut and pose.
But I could not have been more wrong, cos on my face you did belong.
For how was I to ever know, the ‘Audrey’ feeling you’d bestow.
Oh glasses in the ‘Audrey’ style, you looked so good for a short while.
And when I put you on my face, my life was filled with ‘Audrey’ grace.
Yet now I only sit and mourn, the greatest glasses ever worn.
For I’m sure neither tape nor glue will ever make you look like new.
Sunglasses how I wish I knew, who the Hell just sat on you!!

This post was brought to you by a combination of cold medication and insomnia 🙂

Cheerio.

    Love the ode!!!!

I’m so sorry about your awesome sunglasses! 🙁 I believe this kind of incident is the root of my sunglasses addiction and the reason that I have so many pairs that look so similar–they break too easily. 🙁 We need to invent a butt-proof pair that can also survive a 5’7″ fall without a lens popping out or the ear-piece cracking off!

You may be on to something there. I’ll get on to the patent office immediately! 🙂
