A Short Break In Brighton | Barefaced Chic Mini Vlog #1

It’s been a few weeks since I dipped my toe into Youtube and put up my very first video. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how to follow it. Well, it’s not every day that you throw yourself around doing an air display in a jet now is it?

I didn’t want to get stuck in procrastination mode (it took me ages to publish my first video as I kept overthinking it), so I decided to film a short break in Brighton and turn it into a mini vlog.

So how did it go? I actually found it much easier than I thought I would. I had envisaged feeling awkward and maybe a tad embarrassed as I stood talking to myself. But you know what? I actually kind of enjoyed it.

The only painful part of the whole experience was seeing just how much I gurn when I talk. In order to find a still shot for the pic above, I was forced to trawl through images like this:

Blog Number One | A Short Break In Brighton | The Barefaced Chic
I had absolutely no idea my face was so darn flexible 😂

For my first vlog, I’m pretty happy with it. It could be the start of a whole new chapter on The Barefaced Chic. Do let me know what you think, and whether vlogging is something you would like to see more of in the comments.

Cheerio.

Woohoo! I’m number 46 in your subscriptions on YouTube, which is only noteworthy because that happens to be my age! 😀 Next thing you know, it will be 1046 and then up from there! 🙂

46 is a very good year – it’s the age I was when I married Andrew! I’m hoping to do more videos, we’ll see how it goes.

Thank Marianne, it’s not bad considering it’s been hanging around for over 50 years 🙂

I have to agree with Marianne that your skin is lovely. I also have to admit that I thought you probably photoshopped your photographs for your blog. Seeing your vlog I now see that I am wrong and I have to apologise.

I enjoyed your vlog and hope you do more.

There are a number of readers who think I photoshop, and I really don’t. Well, unless it’s to remove twigs from my hair – don’t ask! I am a firm believer in trying to be happy in my own skin, and accepting the changes that midlife brings. That doesn’t mean that I won’t stop fighting the signs of ageing though!
