Being a blogger, or digital influencer (which seems to now be the buzz phrase) has brought so much into my life. Don’t get me wrong, it’s damn hard graft – but I sometimes get to experience the most amazing things and call it ‘work’.
Take last Friday for instance which found me, along with all the ladies from The Over 40 Collective, being wined, dined and generally spoiled rotten courtesy of MADELEINE (a brand that I will be talking more about in my outfit post on Monday).
The mini London break and visit to The Chelsea Flower Show 2017, which was organised by Bright Light PR, saw us being ensconced for the night in a rather nice hotel, whisked off to the flower show, fed and watered (well, champagned) in Jardin Blanc, an exclusive members’ only area where the menu was created by Raymond Blanc no less.
The good man himself was there to oversea the proceedings and put on a couple of cookery displays. I’m not sure if my culinary skills will improve but it was a pleasure to watch him create. It was also a pleasure to get a kiss goodbye from this rather charming Frenchman (though don’t tell Liz (What Lizzy Loves), we’re arguing over him 😉)

After lunch a few of went for a wander around the floral filled marque. I did go into a bit of sensory overload and ended up sneezing my way around the displays, but boy was it worth it!
After recovering from my sneezing fit it was time to wander back to Jardin Blanc to sample the amazing afternoon tea. Being as I’m still on my weight loss journey, I didn’t go overboard but what I had was utterly delicious!
Yet, despite all this wonderful luxury, the thing that put the biggest smile on my face was being able to spend time with this lovely lot:
Of all the pleasure and opportunity blogging has brought me, the gift of friendship has to be at the top of my achievement list. Join me on Monday for a full outfit post, my thoughts on MADELEINE and their offering for 40 plus women. Until then here’s a sneak peek of my outfit.
Until then cheers!
Disclosure: My experience at the Chelsea Flower Show 2017 was gifted by MADELEINE. As usual, my opinions are always honest.
