Blue And White Casual Outfit With Rose Gold Accessories

Choosing the images for this post, I was struck by a rather alarming thought – pasta doesn’t seem to agree with me at the moment. Which, being as one of my favourite restaurants is Italian, has me more that a tad worried.

My attitude towards food, losing weight and keeping it off  is (I believe) seriously sensible. My meals are healthy and well-balanced, and I stick to a pretty strict ‘if it’s made from white flour it doesn’t cross my threshold’ rule.

Yet when it comes to eating out, occasionally all (well most) rules go out through the window and I do eat pasta, pizza, etc. I adore food: I love experiencing new recipes, finding new places to eat, sharing dishes with Mr Chic, spending two hours having a lazy lunch. But lately I’m finding that my enjoyment of eating out is being overshadowed by my discomfort. After some meals I bloat like a puffer fish; my stomach increases in size by such a degree it has to be seen to be believed.

We had just left an Italian and the bloat had began when we did this shoot. You can just see my tummy starting to swell in the second pic from the top. Not that I look like Jabba The Hutt, but it was uncomfortable and I did have to nip back to our boat to change my trousers. Which is shame, because I was rather enjoying wearing this blue and white casual outfit.

I think a bit more investigation into exactly what is causing this need for stretch waistbands is in order – I’ll keep you updated.

Those photos are stunning, Michelle, worth to be published in a magazine! Your look is perfect for the seaside – the white and soft grey accessorised with rosé gold looks so stylish.
I understand how you feel after a meal, I have to be careful with my nutrition too but honestly, if you hadn’t pointed it out I’d not have seen it!

Lovely, fresh outfit, Michelle – and sorry you weren’t feeling your best. I do have to watch my diet more carefully now, and do best with my vegetarian meals. Love the hat too! xo

I’m glad you liked the outfit Patti. I’m giving serious consideration to cutting out gluten for a while to see if that helps.
