In my quest to fill my wardrobe with items that will be extremely versatile, will last me for many years to come and that I love, last week I splurged on this rather colourful jacket. I think it’s going to be perfect for the cooler days to come, and wearing bright colours in autumn always makes me smile.
I teamed the jacket with a longline, lightweight cardigan. I think it gives it a bit of extra interest and softens the whole look. It also helps cover up my tum, which is still swelling to the size of your average football on an almost daily basis ☹️
I’ve been for a few tests now, and so far we don’t have any answers but we have ruled out gallstones – so there’s that. I’m not too worried as the scan didn’t show up anything scary, but it is getting to be a bit of a pain in the proverbial now.
Anyway, back to the outfit. The boots, which I bought in a small boutique in Ramsgate, have proved to be a great purchase. I have absolutely worn them to death over the past few weeks. I can see them taking me on many an adventure. I bought the necklace from M & S, but added a huge heart bead to it. Well you know me, I do love my statement necklaces!

I still haven’t managed to collect any of my clothes from storage yet, but I’m beginning to build a pretty flexible wardrobe. Not having so many clothes in my closet is really making me think about how I wear my clothes, and the purchases I make. I can’t see me ever going down the minimal, capsule wardrobe route, but I do think I’ll be making more of the clothes that I do own in the future.
What about you? Do you love bright colours in Autumn or do you go down the more Autumnal route?
