I’ve been feeling quite loved up lately – yep, I’m a soppy old soul at heart. So when Mr Chic suggested a meal at our favourite Italian restaurant I wanted to wear something soft, and romantic. However, our love of eating outdoors (I have known us to sit outside to eat, bundled up in layers in the midst of Winter) and the slight chill in the Spring air meant pushing aside any and all thoughts of floaty dresses.
I wanted to achieve an outfit with incorporated tones of peach and rose gold. Enter this peachy biscuit coloured, long-line jacket which I knew had worked rather well at keeping the nip out at a Summer BBQ last year. I teamed it with white jeans and added a lace, long-sleeved top which I think added an element of softness to the look.
I also enrolled the help of my rose gold accessories, which I know you’ve seen quite a lot lately (here, here and here). I travelled from London (where I had a bit of a mini break after the UK Blog Awards) to Ramsgate. It made sense to keep my packing to a minimum and wear the same shoes, bag, etc. I did pack plenty of sun hats though 🙂
Jacket – Monsoon (really old but this is nice) / Trousers – Levis / Lace Top – River Island (really old but I like this one) / Bag – Bought in a small boutique in Yorkshire (label says LYDC) / Scarf – Bought at a vintage fair

We had a lovely evening, eating delicious food, drinking fizz and chatting the night away. There was one ‘oh crap’ moment though. Well, have you ever tried to eat spaghetti whilst wearing light colours? I was covered in so many napkins I looked like a mummy!
