Styling A Cosy Wrap And Unusual Accessories

Last weekend found me adventuring in Whitstable. The day started off mild and sunny, so I optimistically threw on a cosy wrap and hoped that the heavens wouldn’t open. Which, luckily for me, they didn’t – yay! Unfortunately, it did decide to blow a gale – boo! On more than one occasion, this caused my wrap to take on the attributes of a Superwoman cape. Ah well, I am both a woman and super, so it was quite apt really 🙂

I have found myself making a number of wrap purchases recently. I find a cosy wrap incredibly versatile: snuggle into it when it’s cold, leave it open when it’s a bit warmer, keep one in the car to stave off drafts, or fold and throw it over your shoulder if it gets too warm. I have also used mine as a cushion for my still sore derrière!

I decided to style my cosy wrap with a statement bag and unusual gloves. I think the unusual accessories bring a touch of fun to an otherwise rather ‘grownup’ outfit. The boots I found in a seconds store. They were missing a number of studs and the buckles were broken. Enter Mr Chic who added new buckles and popped on clock faces in place of studs. Viola – new boots!

I wore this outfit to a recent blogger event, and it adapted perfectly to the different aspects of the day.

It’s lucky I enjoyed this outfit as, judging by the unpredictable weather, I can see me reaching for this cosy wrap on many an adventure in the coming weeks!

What do you think? Do you love wraps? Let me know in the comments.

Cheerio.

Your wrap is fabulous with those boots and houndstooth gloves. But it’s you’re adorable bag that has me positively SWOONING!

I know, it’s just so darn cute! Since purchasing it, I don’t think I’ve used another bag.

WOW is right! I’m referring to your gorgeous mane woman, lovin’ the curl – a lot 😉
The box bag is a cutie & those gloves are chi chi chic! I’m also a huge fan of the wrap for every one of the reasons you mention but mostly because it feels like I’m allowed to go out wrapped in a Nana rug. All good xxx

      Thanks Michelle.
Nana rug – love it! I’ve been experimenting with my mane lately, I’ve always fought against my curls but now I’m kind of loving them 🙂

I love wraps!! Aren’t they super stylish especially during this transitional season?
Living in the mountains far from the sea, I enjoy your lovely photos so much, Michelle!

I’m not quite sure what I did before I filled my closet with wraps, they are just so versatile.

I loved this wrap from the moment I saw it here on your blog. However, I can`t get hold of one because they`re `no longer available` having sold out shortly afterwards. 🙁

Ah that’s such a shame. I must admit, I’ve worn it to death. Maybe M&S will bring something similar out next year.
