Last weekend found me partying on down. The drinks were flowing, the entertainment was hopping and the food was plentiful. Yes, two-year olds these day certainly know how to throw a birthday party!
Now I can’t say that I was overly enthusiastic about mixing with a house full of pre-schoolers, I’m not really a big fan of young children. But the little minx whose birthday it was is rather special, and she has a bit of an eye for anything sparkly. Every time I visit her parents, she scoots over to me to see what ‘pretties’ I have on.
Being as the birthday girl likes sparkles, I could hardy not style a quirky and preppy outfit with a touch of bling, now could I?

It was a pretty warm day and I knew I would only be at the indoor party for a couple of hours, so I braved short sleeves. I did throw over a longline waistcoat just to add an extra layer. But, as you may be able to tell from my goosebumps in the last shot – I did get a bit chilly in the shade.
Despite all the bling and the quirky socks, the piece of clothing that really caught the little madam’s eye was my wrap around bracelet from Lizzy O which I first wore in this post. She was determined to get it off me, but luckily, she became distracted when her cake made an appearance!
I kind of enjoyed dressing to please a two year old, I might just do it more often 🙂
