I’m Dreaming Of A White Wedding

The date has not been set, the venue has not been chosen, nothing has been planned. But there is a ring on my daughter’s finger, which means I’m dreaming of a white wedding – I just can’t help myself! I’ve even found myself wandering around the web searching for mother of the bride outfits. Which is pretty difficult, as I have no idea what the colour scheme is going to be. Not that that small detail is going to stop me. Well, monochrome goes with anything right? 🙂

So here’s the deal; I have allowed myself the indulgence of putting together three mother of the bride outfits. One suitable for a registry office wedding, one suitable for a church wedding and one suitable for an evening wedding. All three are black and white, and all three have got me chomping at the bit to shop! What do you think?

Registry Office

Black and white outfit for a guest at a registry office wedding which I would wear because I'm dreaming of a white wedding.
Black, white and red outfit for a guest at a church wedding.
A green and black evening outfit for a wedding.

I chose all three dresses, and some of the accessories from Gina Bacconi who are hosting a rather spectacular competition – The Gina Bacconi Mother of the Bride 2016 (update: competition now closed). This is an opportunity for both brides and grooms to share lovely stories about their mums. Friends, family and the general public have the opportunity to vote for their favourite story. The mum with the most votes will be crowned Mother of the Bride 2016 and treated to a styling day at Gina Bacconi’s London showroom including a choice of outfit from the current collection and a gift bag full of wonderful things.

I’m rather envious of the winner. I’m also kind of in love with all three dresses, but I have to be patient and wait for the big day – darn it! Anyone out there getting married soon? Do you fancy inviting another guest? I’m available!!
