Recently, when a wardrobe shelf collapsed, I was forced to sort through my heaving wardrobe. My wardrobe consisting mainly of pre ‘I-can’t-be-arsed-to-eat-healthily-and-work-out’ clothes, six months ago this little exercise would have had me pouring a large glass of red, eating a consoling mound of chocolate and bemoaning the fact that I had a wardrobe stuffed full of fabness and nothing to wear.
That was before I started my journey to hit 50 looking fit ‘n’ fab – now, thanks to getting back on the health wagon, I have a choice of outfits. Oh, glorious, glorious choice!
First on my list of ‘things-I’ve-been-dying-to-wear-but-couldn’t-get-in-to’ was this sweet little black and white jacket that Andrew bought for me 18 months ago. He definitely has an eye for awesomeness, but it was just a tad too small – when I say a tad I actually mean that a slathering of lard and a human sized shoe horn would not have got me into it. But it fits now and I’m loving it!
I teamed the black and white jacket with skinny jeans and killer heels, but I can see it looking great with black trousers and flats, with bright coloured accessories or with a polo neck when the weather starts to draw in.
