A Thrifted, Up-Cycled Jacket And My Grandmother’s Brooch

As I am an absolute sucker for jackets – my heaving wardrobe will testify to this fact – in order to keep my bank balance happy, I tend to feed my jacket habit with thrift store / charity shop finds. This jacket, which was thrifted then up-cycled, is fast becoming my go-to, light-weight, Winter favourite.

It’s very easy to wear and can take a “pop” of colour. I’ve worn it with cherry red, bright green and deep navy, but for this outfit shoot I wanted to keep it simple. Teamed with my grandmother’s brooch, a cosy scarf and beige boots, the jacket does most of the talking.

Pretty jacket and brooch. Your nail-color is cute, too.

Absolutely gorgeous. I have so many brooches too from my nan and never know what to do with them yet I don’t have the heart to give them away! Love your hair btw 🙂

Very nice, Charity shops can have some very stylish bargains, can’t they? 🙂
