Geometric Print Blouse And Cream Hat

We seem to have had more than our share of endless grey, misty skies over the last few months. Oh and wind, a whole lot of wind. So flinging open the curtains last week to be greeted by the sun was a bit of a shock. Eager to take advantage of this phenomenon, I quickly threw together an outfit and set off for a spot of brunch with a friend.

I decided to take a brave (or utterly dumb) coat-free road, and threw a cream wrap over my shoulder to snuggle into if the weather changed. I actually had a few layers on under my vintage geometric print blouse, which kept me cosy. I did nip inside to pull on a pair of nude fishnet tights before leaving though – after this shoot I had very cold feet.

The wearing of hats is quite a new thing for me, I simply didn’t have the confidence when I was younger to pop a millinery creation on my head. Now I can’t get enough of them! This cream addition to my rapidly growing hat collection was a recent find at a vintage store. Although not an original piece (not for the price I paid), I like the twenties twist it brings to an outfit.

I love the fact that nobody would have guessed, but underneath my hat of much awesomeness my hair was a bit of a mess.

Hat – Vintage / Geometric Print Blouse – Vintage / Jeans – River Island (super stretchy with a subtle shiny coating) / Shoes – Bought a long time ago from a boutique that is now out of business 🙁 / Wrap – No label, and it’s not the best as it creases easily. I like this one / Thumb Ring – Gift from Mr Chic. If you want to blow your budget I really love this one / Nails – OPI, Big Apple Red / Earrings – Gift from Mr Chic (yes I am well aware of my spoilage). These are simulated diamond studs, but they are the same cut.

I very much enjoyed my day in the sun. Let’s hope that there’s a whole lot more of it on its way!

Cheerio.

Oh wow Michelle you look so, so beautiful in these photos… The hat is utter perfection on you!! I especially love that super close up of your hand and your eye – top marks, Mr Photographer! hehe ;))

I mentioned somewhere already (Instagram?) that I love the print of your blouse – and now I find out’s vintage! No wonder I liked it 🙂

      Thank you Catherine 🙂
I bought the blouse in Scotland. There’s a street there crammed full of vintage stores – you would love it!!
I will pass on you top marks to Mr Chic who will be chuffed.

God, you look AMAZING! You were born to wear hats. I’m so pleased you have the confidence to wear them. Sometimes I love them, and sometimes I feel very conspicuous in them. They DO hide a bad hair day, nicely don’t they? This cream one is particularly beautiful! xx

      Thank you Lisa!
I am now, officially, a hat fanatic – I just adore them. The only issue I know have is; where do I keep them all?

“Wunderschön” (beautiful) as I would say in German, Michelle! You look gorgeous and if I wasn’t so happy with my photographer, I’d hire yours! The photos are amazing.
